G E N E R A L ; ;

• there is a 200 post minimum when in character
  
• cussing is allowed, but keep it to a minimum
  
• if the admin tells you to do something, do it
  
• treat others as you wish to be treated
  
• chatspeak [hi, how r u?], fighting, and offensive pictures are not allowed - you will be warned the first time, then automatically deleted after a second time
  
• all in character posts must be size 1 font - it helps things look more neat
  
• this site is rated 'M' for mature - if you get offended by any "mature" content, it was your choice to join and it was probably your choice to read the thread
  
• if you want to get all hot'n'heavy, please take it elsewhere as i do not wish to get this site deleted
  
• all speaking must be done in bold or "quotes" or both
  
• controlling another's character is not allowed
  
• we do have liquid time here
  
• threads must be posted as so:

H U M A N C H A R A C T E R S ; ;

• you may be more than one character, but all must be active - 5 max
  
• each character must have their own account
  
• your account name should be the name of your character

[/li][li]no one is perfect, therefore your character cannot be
[/li][li]characters cannot bring their own horses to the complex, you will be assigned one after being accepted to IS
[/li][li]when applying for a character, please post with the full name (first middle last) in the title/subject
[/li][li]please keep signature pictures to ONE 500px wide/300px high max or three icons that are the size 100px by 100px, just like your avatar, or you may simply list your characters - if too many people break the image size rule, we will ban images in signatures entirely
[/li][li]please be patient while waiting for your character to be accepted, don't ask us over and over and over (who know, we might decide to take longer) - if it is denied, admin will list the reason and what you can do to fix your application in order for it to be accepted
[/li][li]please make sure to fill out the taken names && face claims form once your character is accepted - it's located in the student profiles board where you submit your application
[/li][li]tracking posts are mandatory[/li][/ul]

E Q U I N E C H A R A C T E R S ; ;

• you will be assigned a school horse when you arrive at the complex - when you are accepted, admin will also list your horse's name - please go to the holding barn first to "receive" your horse (you are pretty much just finding out the stats of your horse, mkayy?)
  
• once you receive your horse, you are required to post once in the assigned barn in order to "stall" your horse, then you may post wherever you wish after
  
• first posts do not need to say [open], [name] etc., just have a catchy title that involves the name of your horse

[/li][li]stallions may breed once they reach age 4
[/li][li]mares may breed once they reach age 6
[/li][li]breeds must be rearranged with IS staff - they will decide which studs and mares are allowed to be bred
[/li][li]horses must be given a 2 week (real life time) rest period ofter being bred/giving birth
[/li][li]horse tack/accessories match the colors of the house that their rider belongs to[/li][/ul]

H O U S E S && P O I NT S ; ;

• you will be assigned to a house when you submit your character form and it is accepted - the houses are Fox Hollow, Eagle Canyon, Deer Trail and Quail Ridge
  
• rider points will be updated in a thread after a show has finished
  
• the house with the most points at the end of a IS year (4 months real life time) will be awarded and added to the hall of fame
  
• the rider/player with the most points in each division at the end of a IS year will also be added to the hall of fame
  
• you may not switch houses any time during your stay at IS
  
• each house comes fully furnished; all decorations are in the houe colors
  
• points go as follows:

1 riders - 1
2 riders - 3, 1
3 riders - 4, 3, 1
4 riders - 5, 4, 3, 1
5 riders - 6, 5, 4, 3, 1
6 riders - 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 1


D O R M S ; ;

• after getting assigned to a house, admin will create a dorm room for your character - it will be a subbie in your house
  
• this is where you will place a post stating what all your character has - items brought from home or bought from the store
  
• dorm rooms are all decorated with the house colors, but you may accessorize however you wish (by hanging pictures, ribbons, etc.). All walls are off-white, and floors are dark espresso hardwood.

-Fox Hollow: Dark red bed linens, curtains, desk chair, and floor rug. Gold hardware, bed frame, and desk.
-Quail Ridge: Navy blue bed linens, curtains, desk chair, and floor rug. Black hardware, bed frame, and desk.
-Deer Trail: Hunter Green bed linens, curtains, desk chair, and floor rug. White hardware, bed frame, and desk.
-Eagle Canyon: Deep purple bed linens, curtains, desk chair, and floor rug. Silver hardware, bed frame, and desk.


H O R S E S H O W S ; ;

• there are both rated and local showgrounds - three rated and four local
  
• shows will be labeled as C, B, or A rated when posted - beginner roleplayers are required to "show" at C rated shows and the same goes for intermediate at B and advanced at A
  
• the goal is to progress through the ranks as you improve your writing skills
  
• if you wish to participate in a show, contact the head of your house; they will determine what level show you are to ride in
  
• when a show is posted, each rider participating will have one week (real life time) to reply - admin will post what the judge requires or the riders (i.e.: starting left, walk, trot, walk, canter, reverse etc.) or the course that the riders must jump - the rider that "executes" (in other words, describes how they do the course in one post) the class the best will be the winner by unanimous vote
  

S T O R E S && C A S H ; ;

• cash is the method in which you buy store items - you earn $5 per post you make
  
• the stores are "The Tack Room" and "The Feed Store" - if a certain tack item is available online, it will be at The Tack room for the same price, and the same goes for food for your character at The Feed Store
  
• make a post in the store when you want to buy something - list the items you want (links will be needed to confirm price) and the total price, admin will subtract it from your account
  
• make sure you have enough in your account - admin won't fill your order if you don't
  
• you also earn cash for placing in a show - show points = cash
  
• you may earn cash and possibly other prizes for entering/winning a contest
